Assertiveness? Yeah, probably not.

I ordered my girl a custom made school dress uniform.

Because she's kinda height-challenged, like me, and has these fantastic butterfly swimmer shoulders that make fitting into this particular style of dress extremely difficult. And the one she could fit over her head? Yeah. It was reaching her ankles - not a good look.

I ordered them last year praying that she wouldn't have too big a growth spurt.

She's had a little one, but I don't think it will make too much difference.

Because the dresses haven't turned up.

Second week of school and they are nowhere to be seen.

My girl had to spend her first day of high school as the only person in the entire school in sports uniform. So still no pretty photos of her in her formal dress.

And she's dying to wear her new formal dress shoes and hat. Just like everyone else.

Ugh.

I'm emailing. I'm popping in to the uniform shop when they are open. I have no idea what the phone number is as it's a new campus (wouldn't matter when the shop is only open 3x a week anyway), otherwise I'd be ringing too. And I hate making phone calls.

Trying very hard to be assertive here, without getting peeved. It's not the uniform shop ladies fault, its the suppliers. I don't have their contact details or else I think my husband would have something to say to them ;)

I'm not the confrontational type ;)

Actually, I do hate confrontation.

Sunshine and daisies people. Sunshine and daisies.

But get your shit together and deliver.
